AB-1353 Program Overview
The AB-1353 DUI Program is a California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) licensed alcohol and drug education program designed for individuals ordered by a California court or required by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) following certain driving under the influence (DUI) offenses.
The AB-1353 program is generally required for individuals convicted of certain first-time DUI offenses involving a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.20% or greater, or in other circumstances where ordered by the court.
