SB-1176 Wet Reckless

The SB-1176 Program is a 6-week program aimed towards the education of those individuals subjected to court discipline for alcohol related violations of the California Vehicle Code 23103/23103.5/23140 , to reduce recidivism and to demonstrate the benefit of a life of sobriety.

Enrollment

Participant need to call this office number 818-716-0188 to schedule an appointment for enrollment, the enrollment takes one hour. During the enrollment the participant will be given a schedule to attend all program activities. Participant needs to bring the paper work from court or other referring agency indicating he/she needs to attend
the program. Arrangements for payment of program fee will be done at this time.

NOTE: You must enroll within 21 days from your last day in court. (If participants do NOT enroll WITHIN 21 days, they must then return to court, and ask for an extension)

Program Participation

Participant needs to complete the components as described.

Completion

Upon completion of all two Program components the Participant will be
given all the necessary documentation to present to court and/or other referring agency as proof of Program completion.

Education Component

The SB-1176 program obly requires completion of 12 hours of alcohol education, delivered over six weekly sessions. Each session is held once per week and lasts 2 hours, focusing on substance use awareness, legal consequences, and strategies for safer, more responsible decision-making.

Individual Orientation Interview

The SB-1176 only mandates 1 Interview for which the duration is of 1 hour and will be the Intake Interview and Assessment conducted at the beginning of the Program.

IMPORTANT
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) may ask you to do a three-month program (AB-541) in order to keep your driving license regardless of the court disposition.
